The D500 microprocessor based positioner brings the latest technology, flexibility, and user-friendly features (local push buttons and LCD display) for local operation and calibration of a pneumatic actuator and/or control valve package. A robust design (NEMA 4X, Ip 65), with excellent air delivery, uses very traditional and proven components to provide very fast, accurate, and consistent control with very low air consumption.
Optional accessories like analog or digital feedback, various switch options, an emergency shutdown module, SIL 2 approvals, fail freeze option and pressure sensors for advanced diagnostics make the D500 a complete positioner package. Coupled with VAC’s multiple drive adapters and an extensive list of rotary or linear actuator mounting, this combination offers users and distribution channels a lot of flexibility and opportunities.
